This installation explores the twin concepts of time - Chronos and Kairos and is designed to start running from the moment of the Cambridge Lights Switch On 2014.

Chronos is the flow of time from one minute to the next. Ordered, predictable, stable; Kairos is the moment of indeterminable time in which everything seems to happen. Disorder, chaos, movement, energy.

Light patterns break down and reform producing brief flickers of clarity. A moment reveals itself out of the light, a moment where it all seems to make sense and the time until Christmas crystallises.

This collaborative light piece is created by Cambridge based artist Colin Dewar using the iconic Raspberry Pi software to control the installation and Cambridge founded - Fusion Optix's lighting.
